Painful Varicose and Thread Veins

Many patients suffer pain from their varicose veins. This can be from large varicose veins of small thread veins. Other symptoms of aching, itching and swollen legs can occur. Many doctors do not understand that thread veins can hurt, in fact they can cause more discomfort than some larger
varicose veins.

Wearing high graduated compression stockings may help to relieve the symptoms along with moving around when standing and putting your feet up when sitting.

The best solution for these problems is to treat the veins. Ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy, surgery or conventional sclerotherapy are the best methods depending on the suitability of the veins for each procedure. A combination of methods may be required.

Which is the best treatment for my veins?
